Our large group experience includes children from Kindergarten through 6th Grade. Wow that’s a BIG gap! It’s a gap that we are working toward changing soon by creating a unique ministry for our 5th & 6th graders…but that’s a blog for another day.

One of the most important things that happens during a football game is the huddle. In the huddle the QB calls the play, exhorts his team, and leads the team. We as leaders in children’s Ministry often fill both the roles as coach and QB. So how do we serve as both coach and QB?

Who’s Your Sidekick?

Each church I’ve served at I’ve had the benefit of a guy who became my partner in ministry and occasionally that person would change as the ministry grew and changed. Dave, Milton, David, Glenn, Bob, and now Steve were all guys that became my friends and part of that friendship was a passion for ministry

Event Planning for the “Big Event”

If you are involved in ministry for any length of time you will probably be expected to plan and execute a “Big Event.” Too often a large scale event is presented by a ministry and unspoken expectations are not met.
