Day 14 & 15 of our Childrens Ministry Remodel Children\s Ministry Youth

CM Entry Day 15

It’s Wednesday morning and things are really beginning to take shape.  Our original goal was for our Children’s area to be bright and “pop” with color.  As you can see in the photos I believe we are well on our way to achieving that goal.  One of the funny things I have noticied is how often  people comment on their favorite sports team when they see a particular pair of colors together.  Today I purchased two secondary colors to use on our stage.  With being new here in Crystal River, Florida it didn’t take long to know that one of those colors needed to be ORANGE.  So we’ll being pairing the orange with blue to pay homage to the Florida Gators! Go Gators!

Our PVC Pipe structures are growing in number and complexity!  Take a look a the photos and imagine them painted with our bright colors.  Special thanks to James Kennison of for the “street sign” idea and detailed “how to” instructions.  We will be using those to designate where each grade will sit during large group.

Today we are trimming out the paint throughout both rooms and doing some house cleaning.  We’ll also continue creating with the PVC pipe that we have left.  It has been a lot of fun to get to know the great volunteers here at Gulf to Lake.  Working together on a project is a great way to build unity

We are also looking for some creative ideas to title our “Grade Signs.” Each sign will denote a particular Grade 1 – 5.  With our theme being the Fun Factory take a look at these suggestions, share you opinions and send me your ideas:  Lab 1 – Design Lab 1 – Lab Deck 1 – Level 1 – Platform 1.   Check back soon to follow our progress.

Looking good Keith!! I’m thinking the colors made folks think of the Vikings? Can’t wait to see it when it’s all finished :O)
